Today she’ll be sharing how to create simple no sew felt autumn pillows.
Throw pillows are an easy way to add pops of color to your home and showcase your personal style. Switching out pillow covers allows you to decorate for the various seasons and holidays throughout the year without accumulating bulky pillows.
Supplies:
- Throw pillows (or solid colored pillow covers)
- Felt sheets in fall colors
- Liquid Stitch (fabric glue)
- Scissors
- Pom pom binding (optional)
- Small round template
- Pen and/or straight pins
Autumn No Sew Pillow – Fall Leaves:
Print out the fall leaves template. Cut out and trace (or pin with straight pins) onto the felt sheets. For an 18×18” pillow, you will need approximately a variety of 26 leaves.
Autumn No Sew Pillow – Polka Dot Pumpkin
Use the pumpkin template to print and trace onto an orange felt sheet. Similarly, use the template to create a small brown felt stem.
Use a small round template such as a shot glass to create a variety of felt circles in autumn colors.
Once all the felt pieces are cut out, use the Liquid Stitch to glue the pumpkin stem to the pillow. If desired, use a small piece of pom-pom binding to apply in a curlicue fashion to the stem. The same effect can be gained with felt.
